Career Tech's Developing Market I am president of the Uniti Foundation, a non-governmentorganization dealing in the field of education, based in Hyderabad,India. The term does not normally include training for the professions. and TrainingAssociation (IVETA IVETA International Vocational Education and Training Association ) for many years now. I have been reading Techniquesregularly to learn what's happening on the other side of the globe. There is a lot that U.S. organizations in the field of vocationaleducation can do in developing countries like India. To begin with, there is a lack of proper information, training and technical know-how.Until developed countries like the United States take the initiative tocreate awareness and share their knowledge, a huge tilt in the educationscales of the world will remain. There has to be a movement to disperse vocational education to thedeveloping world, not only on a social level but on a commercial level. As the management gurus would say, "There is a huge market outthere." I am presently working on several education-related projects andwould like to see more articles in Techniques on what developedcountries can do for the developing world. --Bhanu Sanghani Hyderabad, India Techniques welcomes letters to the editor.
