Bobby was created by the Center for Applied Special Technology(CAST), a nonprofit organization Nonprofit OrganizationAn association that is given tax-free status. It is a tool to help Web page authors make their Web siteseasier for those with disabilities to use. Bobby is a Web detective that exposes barriers for users withdisabilities and makes recommendations with regard to accessibilityissues. First developed in 1996, the tool has been upgraded a number oftimes. At the CAST Bobby Web site, at www.cast.org/bobby, you can enter aURL URLin full Uniform Resource LocatorAddress of a resource on the Internet. The resource can be any type of file stored on a server, such as a Web page, a text file, a graphics file, or an application program. of a Web page for Bobby to examine.
