Letter from the editors. Welcome to the Academy of Educational Leadership Journal. Theeditorial content of this journal is under the control of the AlliedAcademies, Inc., a non profit association of scholars whose purpose isto encourage and support the advancement and exchange of knowledge,understanding and teaching throughout the world. The mission of the AELJis to publish theoretical, empirical, practical or pedagogic manuscriptsin education. Its objective is to expand the boundaries of theliterature by supporting the exchange of ideas and insights whichfurther the understanding of education. The articles contained in this volume have been double blindrefereed. The acceptance rate for manuscripts in this issue, 25%,conforms to our editorial policies. We intend to foster a supportive, mentoring effort on the part ofthe referees which will result in encouraging and supporting writers. Wewelcome different viewpoints because in differences we find learning; indifferences we develop understanding; in differences we gain knowledgeand in differences we develop the discipline into a more comprehensive,less esoteric, and dynamic metier.
