AMTIE Board of Trustees candidates--2010. There is one open position on the AMTIE Board of Trustees. Any AMTmember wishing to run for the open elected position should contact theAMT office for information and application form. To date, two members have announced their intention to run for theopen AMTIE Board of Trustees position: Jason E. Merzlak, and MartyHinkel. Jason E. Merzlak, RMA, RPT, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, has been a memberof AMT for two years. He attended the Concorde Career Institute, Lauderdale Lakes, FL,University of Pittsburgh and earned Radiologic Technology BoardCertification. He is a RMA at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] He stated his reasons for wanting to serve on the AMTIE Board ofTrustees as, "I am honest and hard working, and willing to learnand explore new ideas ... making a difference in people's livestouches me ... I will work very diligently and hard.... Marty Hinkel, MT, Worland, WY, has been a member of AMT for 13years. She is the current secretary for the AMT Rocky Mountain StateSociety (past president and vice president). She has also served on theRPT EQS Committee. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] Honors include Distinguished Achievement, President's Award,and AMTIE Certificate of Excellence. She attended University of North Dakota, MT program. She isDiagnostics Manager at Washakie Medical Center, Worland, WY. Her reasons for wanting to serve on the AMTIE Board of Trusteeswere stated as: "One should never stop learning. The day you stoplearning is the day you stop living. Anything I can do to help ourmembership with their continued education will benefit ourprofession."
