ACTE-McDonald's outstanding teacher in community service. (Educators Honored in New Orleans). Sarah E. Raikes, a family and consumer sciences instructor, is arole model, both in and out of the classroom, for her Kentucky students.She recently moved from Campbellsville High School in Taylor County toWashington County High School Washington County High School may refer to any of the following United States educational institutions: Washington County High School in Chatom, Alabama Washington County High School in Sandersville, Georgia Washington County High School in Springfield, where she rejuvenated aweak F&CS program and got her students involved in a plethora ofcommunity-oriented activities. March of Dimes is the name of a United States health charity, whose mission is to improve the health of babies. , Ronald McDonald House, Toys forTots Toys For Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which donates toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The program was founded in 1947 by Major Bill Hendricks. and Crusade for Children. In addition, she increased FCCLAmembership from six to 60 members in just a few short months. Raikes has been honored with a number of awards, which serve astestimony to her dedication and commitment to teaching and to communityservice.
