ACTE seeks winning logo design. This is very critical when chips are mounted to printed circuit boards, because the silicon chip expands at a different rate than the plastic board. Month logo design contest. Help your CTEstudents get involved by encouraging them to participate in thiscontest. In its fourth year, the logo design contest allows students anopportunity to showcase their skills. The theme, "CTE: Discovering Skills for a CompetitiveWorkforce," will showcase national CTE Month and ACTE is seeking alogo that captures the importance of career and technical education andskills necessary for the future of today's students. The contest isopen to all CTE students and the winner of the CTE Month logo designcontest will receive a check for $250. Logos should be designed following these criteria: * Logo must incorporate the 2008 CTE Month theme, "CTE:Discovering Skills for a Competitive Workforce." * Logo must be easily reproduced both in color and black and white. * Logo must be submitted in the requested format. ACTE prefers a two-color logo design submitted in EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) A PostScript file format used to transfer a graphic image between applications and platforms. EPS files contain PostScript code as well as an optional preview image in TIFF, WMF, PICT or EPSI, the latter being an ASCII-only format. (Illustrator)format, with a printed proof of the logo submission included. Since thelogo will appear on items as small as pens and key chains, avoid the useof fine detail which may be lost in the design.
