ACTE broadens membership with new division information.

ACTE broadens membership with new division information. In order to better serve career and technical educators in everyfield, ACTE has established a new Emerging Division, two new Sectionsunder the New and Related Services Division, and areas of interest underthe Marketing Education Division that members can select when they join.The Career Academy Emerging Division was established so that those CTEprograms aligned as or looking to start career academies can besupported within the organization. For more information, visitwww.acteonline.org/content. aspx?id=1490. ROTC and Information Technology (IT) are two new Sections under Newand Related Services. The ROTC Section is for members who are involvedwith or have an interest in government and public service and want towork with the ROTC and other organizations to build and strengthen ROTCprograms. The Marketing Education Division will now have several interestareas to help better segment and serve the marketing educationmembership. The eight new areas: hospitality and tourism, sports andentertainment, entrepreneurship, management, National Academy Foundationprograms, student store operations, internships, and co-operativeeducation will help us better serve this unique and diverse group ofeducators. As these new categories grow in interestand members, ACTE will provide additional resources and programming forthese segments.
